Back from the DAC
LDAC is but a memory now. I am home from Fort Lewis, Washington. I love Mount Rainer. It was so cool to see it towering in the horizon while the sun was rising. I got to see many sun rises while I was there, we had to pull 100% security while patrolling during sunrise and sunset. I led an Air Assault mission while patrolling, it was pretty awesome to call in the blackhawks and load up and assault the LZ, it was pretty much just what it looks like in the movies except I had to lead it all.

We conducted a raid on an insurgent safehouse and took them out. My firesupport element put down cover fires as I led the assault element into the objective. It was a rush. We lost a few men on the objective but were able to evac them out and secure the PIR (priority intel reports). It was fun to be put in a situation like that in training, doing it for real would be a completly different story. I am glad to be back in Utah and best of all back with Claire.
