gettin married

I am going to marry Claire M. Cain. I asked her on July 27th and she said yes! I actually even pulled off the surprise. I was sure she knew something was up when I was stalling in Blockbuster and then Smith's and checking my phone for texts and the time constantly. So here was the plan... I had talked to the Cain's earlier in the day....wait let me go back. The day before I was at the Cain's with Claire and she went upstairs to change or something so I asked Dr. Cain and Camille if I could talk with the two of them sometime soon. They were great, both asking me "what about?" wink-wink, nudge-nudge, say no more kinda thing. So then the next day I found out Claire had a work out for an hour...that was my chance. I ran to my folks house to get the ring so I could show the Cains' when I asked for their blessing. I put the ring in my glove box in the civic and then spent most of the rest of the day with Claire. Then came time for her workout, she and I both left the Cain house at the same time but I flipped a U-turn and went back to have THE TALK. It was great. I was NERVOUS but Dr. Cain and Camille were very gracious, and gave me thier blessing to ask Claire. So it was on! From then on I had the ring in my pocket. Claire and I met up for dinner after her workout was finished, I felt like I was going to give it away by not being able to keep a straight face. I had asked Jesse and Glendon to take the couch that Claire and I had our first kiss, and first "I love you" to Mount Ogden park at 10pm so I was on a time suspense from then on. Now comes the stalling. I took forever to eat! Then checked my email and espn and about anything else I could think of on the internet at the Cain house to waste time. It was still only around 8pm then. Next was blockbuster. I took 45 mins to find a movie, the stalling was starting to get to Claire a bit then. After Blockbuster I convinced Claire that I really needed to go to smiths for a minute to get some milk and bread. It was about a 20-30 minute trip for milk and bread. So now its around 9:15-9:25 and we go to baskin robbins for some ice cream and a lil bit of stalling later and we are headed to Mount Ogden at 9:45. I knew where Jesse and Glendon were going to place the couch so I took Claire a round about way to the south side of the park and we sat down and talked for about 30min. It was perfect. We talked about our relationship and memories of us at Mount Ogden. Then I got the text from Jesse that all was in place. So Claire and I went for a walk, and found a strange, yet familiar couch sitting in the park. We sat down and after a second I pulled the ring from my pocket and got on one knee and told Claire that I hope to honor, love, and care for her the rest of my life, and asked her if she would marry me. She said yes.
